Syracuse University sophomore Emerson started longboarding last year. He often rides to class, but says he likes to take time off to ride for fun. Longboarding is becoming a more popular trend on the Syracuse campus.

I'm not sure what's going on.

I just know that the work I've produced lately is shit. What I don't know is why this has suddenly happened. Or why I can't catch it when I'm actually shooting.

I'm terrified that I'm not good enough to be where I am, that I don't deserve this spot in this major in this incredibly prestigious school. I am surrounded by incredibly talented people and I can't let them down like this anymore.

But I don't know what else to do.
I've poured myself into this, heart and soul.

Maybe that's why I'm so scared.
I don't really have a plan B. So if I can't make it in plan A, I don't know where to go.

In case you're wondering...

...that's Vice President Joe Biden.

He was joined in his visit to our fine university by Secretary of Treasury Tim Geithner and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.

I got to shoot this because:
a) I was willing to wake up at 5 am to go through security checks,
b) I've shot political stuff before, and
c) as I explained to my photo editor, I'm playing Presidential Pokemon: gotta catch 'em all.
