Syracuse University sophomore Emerson started longboarding last year. He often rides to class, but says he likes to take time off to ride for fun. Longboarding is becoming a more popular trend on the Syracuse campus.

Joey, a Syracuse University grad student, creates a rainbow during the LGBT Association event "Chalk the Quad!" Several students showed up for the event, part of "Coming Out Month".
